Why This Gal Loves Flowers

I'll be the last to turn down jewelry or cars or cruises, but...
For me, it doesn't matter how much you spend on a gift, it matters why. So...
You can give me
a bouquet because you were thinking of me and I'll love it more than anything you give on V-Day because that's what you're
'supposed to' do.
The best bouquet I ever received was a few months ago from my fiancee.
It had been an absolutely crazy couple of weeks and we hardly had time to talk on the phone for more than a few minutes, never mind actually seeing each other.
This had gone on for about three weeks when we ended up going a few days without talking to each other.
I was seriously bumming.
One day, not long before I went on lunch, the receptionist up front calls back and says there's a delivery for me,
And...
I needed to come sign for it, or come get it right then, or something like that.
Kyle was there with one of those
carnation bouquets you get on street corners.
To say that made my month is an understatement. He'd gotten permission from his boss to switch with someone who had an earlier lunch than he did, so...
He could do lunch with me that day and
picked up the flowers on the way.
Because of commute time to/from where he worked, we only had about half an hour.
So...
We got McDonald's and then he had to head back to work.
