Wedding Gift Ideas

In the past, I have always gone by the book when getting
wedding gifts.
I would go into the store, print off the
gift registry and find something I wanted from the list to purchase for the bride and groom.
It is not always creative, but at least it is something they registered for and therefore wanted.
Since my wedding this past year,
I have been giving cash for gifts for my friends weddings. It was so nice to have cash from our cards to take with us on the honeymoon!
We did not have to mess with stopping by the bank or getting cashiers checks.
The best gift we received on our wedding day was a granite cutting board. It is beautiful and it sits on our counter but also is used a lot when we need a cutting board.
It was a very thoughtful gift, and probably quite expensive.
It was not on our registry, but we love it.
I DO NOT necessarily think price should be a factor when getting wedding gifts. It is always great to get something nice, but it doesn't necessarily mean it will be the most cherished.
I think a
wedding gift registry would be very helpful when deciding what to buy as a gift.
It would be nice to see different bride and grooms feedback on what they liked and did not like, which could help out when you are stumped on what to buy.
