Using Communications Special to us

I met my husband accidentally online through another friend who I was talking to at the time.
We had been dating a while, but because of my work schedule, he had to cancel plans for a nice dinner out.
So, instead he proposed after going Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve.
When we got back to the apartment, he was taking something downstairs.
I got a text message telling me saying "Will...for the rest of the message check your email".
So I jumped on the computer and had gotten an email from him saying "You...for the rest of the message check your dresser drawer".
So into the bedroom I went.
I found a note "Will you marry me?" and turned around to find him behind me (no idea how he snuck up behind me).
The ring was also in the drawer and he then asked me to marry him.
It's not the traditional romantic evening out, but our biggest thing was having to use phones, text messages, and emails to keep in contact when we were not living in the same place.
That would be my suggestion to all people about to propose ...pick something that is special to the two of you and build it around that.
And...
Unless the person you propose to loves to be the center of attention, being alone is the way to go.
