Unlimited Texting, of Picture's, Letter's and Poems.

by S.R.
(Houston Texas)

I dated a wonderful man, we will call him (Matt) for I do not wish to share all the personal's of it.

He was stationed in Oahu, on Schofield barracks for three years.

I met him halfway threw his term there, and we hit it off right away.

We spent allot of time together, so when we found out he was being stationed in Germany for two years, we decided to try to keep in touch and try the long distance thing.

Two days before he was leaving, he and I went to the mall.

He purchased two blackberry touch screen's, and also got an unlimited plan to help us keep in touch better.

I never imagined he would be so serious about this, so I was shocked.

I'm not much for texting, and when he showed me how to use it, I was ecstatic that it would be so easy.

The day he left, was gut wrenching.

I had been in other relationship's with men in the military before, but once they were stationed elsewhere, we were done.

Matt was different though, and I was sad to see him leave.

Leaving the airport from dropping him off I received my first text.

It said...

"I'm gonna miss you more than you will ever know...I love you!."

Great! The first time he tells me he loves me, and it comes via text.

I laughed threw my tears, and sent back an "I love you too".

It went on like this for a few months before it started getting more intimate.

...Pictures of myself on the beach in his favorite bikini of mine ...nights I would wear his ARMY shirt to bed.

It was so much fun, we talked everyday for two years.

I started dating someone about a year after he left.

I told him about it, and he refused for me to stop talking to him.

He continued to pay the phone bill, and I continued to talk and text him all the time.

He knew of the other guy, yet the other guy knew nothing of him.

When his two years were up, he was stationed back in Hawaii for a year, and asked me to pick him up from the airport.

I was so confused at that point, but I went to pick him up anyway.

When Matt came out those doors, my heart swelled, and then started crumbling into a million pieces.

He swooped me into his arm's and kissed me.

Tears falling down my eye's I kissed him back.

At that moment I knew I would have to make a decision.

A year later, I was a married woman.

I was on my way to Houston Texas, to spend the rest of my life with my husband...Matt!

He had been stationed, and went to get us a house and stuff a month before me.

The texting, and phone time that Matt provided us with during his stay in Germany, was what kept our spark alive.

I knew the moment he kissed me again, that I needed this man, the one who loved me enough to keep us in contact even after being away from each other for so long.

We have been together for seven years this year, and I am still so happy in love.

I continue to send him texts and picture's, except now he gets to come home to me later in the day, and feed the passion behind the phone.
