Ubermensch

The term of endearment I use for the love of my life is my Ubermensch. (It’s the German word for superman).

An ubermensch is the person you think of when you think of the ideal person, the person you wish everyone would be like in a perfect world.

They’re usually confined to books, but I guess sometimes you find one in the real world...

• He’s everything I ever wanted in another human being
  
  
• He’s my hero
  
  
• He works harder than anyone I’ve ever met before, and he’s so kind and gentle
  
  
• He has this desire to be better than the very best (at his job) that is just unparalleled
  
  
• He always holds his head up high no matter what’s going on
  
  
• He looks me straight in the eyes when he’s talking to me
  
  
• He is proud and strong and determined and willful
  
  
• He has this way of making my weird seem not so weird so that I’m perfectly comfortable talking to him about anything
  
  
• He also has an amazing singing voice that I am convinced has the power to heal
  
  
• He is absolutely the love of my life.

Now I’ve finally met my Howard Roark, my John Galt, my Hank Rearden, and my Dagny Taggart.
