The Perfect Day!!!!!

by Shawna
(Spokane, Washington, USA)

Very secretly and well-planned, Isaac hand delivered an envelope to my home on June 9th, 2005.

Enclosed in the letter was a 3-page PowerPoint presentation titled 'A Day of Romance: Morning Invitation'.

The invitation instructed me to arrive at a secret location on Friday June 10th at 8:00 am.

Sure thing I arrived at the location on Friday morning and to my surprise my baby had a 1/2-day spa retreat at Elizabeth Arden Red Door awaiting me.

While I was enjoying my spa treatment, Isaac hand delivered a second invitation 'Afternoon Invitation'.

Isaac had left money in the envelope for whatever I wanted. Thereafter, I went to my hair salon, which is where I received a third invitation 'Evening Invitation'.

The evening invitation was a night to remember.

Isaac picked me up around 5:30 pm in his suit and tie and we boarded the 'Spirit of Washington' - a mini-cruise along the Potomac River.

It was a beautiful night with delicious food, wine and dancing all night long.

Once the cruise was over there was a final invitation 'Moonlight Invitation'.

The invitation instructed me to blindfold myself.

Once we got to the secret destination (VA Hilton), Isaac guided me to the hotel room and told me to remove the blindfold.

He opened the door to the Honeymoon Suite and the room was romantically lighted with candles and a trail of red rose petals trailed from the door through the bedroom and master bath.

The whirlpool Jacuzzi was filled with warm water and red rose petals.

I was in AWE!

As I walked around the room, there was a note by a radio that instructed me to play CD track number 3.

I pressed play and my favorite song by Jaheim 'As Long as I Live' began to play.

Isaac took my hand and we started dancing and that's when Isaac began to express his love and desire to be with me forever.

Before I could say a word, Isaac bent down on one knee and the proposal began. I was in shock I didn't know if I wanted to scream, cry or do both.

Once my baby finally got the ring out of his coat pocket (with a little struggle) and opened the box upside down (he was nervous), he asked if I would marry him.

Although my 'YES', was a whisper (I was stricken by the beauty of the ring)...inside I was screaming YES! YES! YES!
