The Little Mermaid

So I was thinking of asking my girlfriend to marry me.

Big step in my life and I weighed this for days, I finally decided there was a reason it was called The Big Plunge.

After the eight of that decision, I went out and
found the perfect engagement ring.

That was a bit easier than the choosing to pop the question.

I had found a ring of decent price for someone in my finical state.

Now it was a question of when?

So here I am, at the re-release of the Little Mermaid in theaters.

My girlfriend was a huge Little Mermaid fan and I thought it would be nice to surprise her by taking her to see the film.

She had never seen it in theaters, was a bit too young for it when it was originally released.

I had a friend who worked in a local theater and I had devised a plan.

In the middle of the movie, the lights come on. My friend walks down and addresses the entire theater and asks if someone lost a ring in a case?

So I get up and walk down.

I apologized to the theater and offered to reimburse anyone who may have been unhappy with this forced intermission.

I then went on to talk about the woman I loved and what she meant to me and I pointed her out and told her this ring… was for her… if she wanted it.

Needless to say she was beat red and all eyes on her.

She did indeed say ‘yes’.
