The Ideas of Wedding Gifts, Registries, & Receiving something Blue & New!

I believe the best gift I have ever given was an embroidery throw blanket that I got done at
"Things Remembered" (A gift-shop in the mall).
I thought they would really enjoy it and it was very practical.
Not only did it have there names and date of marriage embroidered into it; it is also very special when it gets cold and they want to cuddle.
It was the perfect
romantic wedding gift yet not over personal.
The price varies (embroidery is included in price), depending on what type of throw blanket you want.
But...The one I bought cost $35.00.
It can go up to yet no more than, $60.00 I believe.
Out of all the gifts on our wedding day, the most cherished was my sister's gift she sent me in the mail (because I got married in another country and she couldn't be there)...
...An exquisite pair of blue turquoise tear drop earrings and necklace set in silver with a tiny diamond that sat above each of the teardrops. Not only was it beautiful itself, it was wrapped not in a normal Jewelery box but in a Jewelery envelope made of white satin.
After the initial shock of joy, I quickly realized that not only was it blue but IT WAS NEW!
And...It looked very delicate like something a princess would wear.
I will always cherish it, and I will never forget it.
As far as
Wedding Registry's; I believe it is a must for almost all couples who should wed!
Heck they should have them for
Christmas too!!
I say this because even though someone might know you; they might not know the little stuff that only your taste knows once your eyes see the item.
Or...Just stuff people might over look that you've been secretly dying to have for the past 10 years!
For example:
It's a good way to give people
ideas so that your new gifts won't be like that gravy boat that grandma hid in the bottom of the closet all those years without reaching the surface;
Yet...At the same time, the guilt that remained with her because of who gave it to her that she cared about so much, she never could bare the thought of tossing it...
So...It turned her into a permanent pack-rat for the rest of her life!!
Think about it! (funny but true!)
