The Hidden Ring Proposal

My husband proposed on Christmas.
He intended to propose Christmas morning, before we went to a family function but I didn't see the ring before we left.
I like to decorate the ceiling with ornaments and wind chimes and the like.
I noticed that morning that there was a new decoration but in the chaos of getting ready to leave didn't comment on it.
Much later, after putting our daughter to bed and sitting together on the couch he asked me if I had noticed the ornament he put up.
I told him I had and thought it was pretty.
He then asked me if I saw anything about it that looked funny.
... So I went over to it, looked up at it and said, "I don't know, I'm short."
He came over, took it down and as it got closer to me I saw there was a RING attached to it.
I started crying (I am a girl, girls do that sometimes) and he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.
It was wonderful and I can't think of a better way for it to have happened.
I'm certainly glad he didn't get a chance to ask before we left because, if he had, I would have been crying the whole day with his family!
