Tender Moments
When my wife and I got married we were more than excited to open up our wedding gifts.
After about a year or so we learned that the best presents weren’t the always the expensive ones or the irreplaceable ones.
We received a
bunch of crystal which in the end proved to be useless.
My wife enjoys putting them on display.
Between the two of us,
the best wedding gift was either the spa weekend my uncle bought us, or the kitchen accessories. We received an entire
Cuisinart set which have lasted us without any problem.
The spa weekend makes the top of our list because it was open to whenever we wanted to use it.
Months after
our honeymoon we were back to work and stressed out again.
That spa weekend made all the difference and we love my uncle for it.
The
Cuisinart set must have been expensive but even the individual pieces alone would have made a great gift.
They last forever without problem.
...And having the whole set has proved awesome as well.
My lovely wife never liked baking but one day caught the cake baking bug and the next thing I knew all these baking mixers and jazz were out and she was making cakes.
I don’t think I need to share if the cake was good or not but she was having so much fun.
If you were to get a wedding present,
a spa weekend would be a great choice.
It is not too expensive, but if you want to give something more lasting, I would say kitchen supplies.
Even if it is a little cliché
...Steer clear of the crystal.
