Sterling Silver

I was only 17 when I met the most wonderful man. He was tall and handsome, successful and driven.
We met in Wisconsin and the moment I saw him, I lit up inside.
We talked for a few hours and walked outside in the hotel courtyard.
We exchanged numbers and said good night.
I did not think I would ever see him again.
I woke up the next morning to a knock on my hotel room door.
I grabbed my robe and wrapped up in it.
I opened the door and there they were.
One of the things he had asked me was what
my favorite kind of flower would be.
And now, in the hallway outside my room, were
dozens of sterling roses. I stepped aside so that the delivery men could carrying them in.
There were four dozen total.
He must of emptied every flower shop in the local area because
these roses were somewhat rare. One dozen had a card in it.
I read it outloud: "Dearest blue eyes,
I have never felt what I felt last night.
I believer at long last, I have found a wonderful woman
who will wish to be in my company because I am a good man.
You made me feel amazing inside.
These roses are as beauitful as you said they were.
But not one of them or all of them combined
can hold a candle to your beauty.
Meet me in the lobby for a day
that may seem to be written out of a fairy tale book.
With joy in my heart,"
RobWe have been married for almost 10 years. And every anniversery, I find myself awaking to
four dozen of my favorite roses.
