Star Light Star Bright Proposal...

If I was brave enough to propose to my partner, I would do it like this:
The ideal location would be a dark warm secluded tropical beach with the moon setting into the ocean, palm trees fronds clicking, and stars sparkling by the thousands overhead,
but...Any romantic location where the stars are clearly visible would work too.
"Darling," I would say,
"which is your favorite star?" ...And when my honey pointed it out, I would reach way up stretching and pretending to grab it.
I would then get one one knee and present the
"star" to my love, but when my hand opened it would contain an engagement ring with a sparkling stone that could always be remembered as their
"favorite star".
It could all unfold perfectly as above, or the initial question could be met with a joke or confusion.
"Favorite star? How could I pick just one?!" or "All of them!" The proposer must have ready answers to deal with these possible twists.
Possible responses to get the conversation back on track would be
"do you like the brightest? or the most twinkling? or are any constellations special to you?" If none of this works, just hang on to that ring until you come up with a better proposal method!
