Sea Shells by Shore Proposal

It is very hard for me to tell this story considering the circumstances but it is too romantic not to share.

And, I hope this gives a romantic man an idea on how to propose to his sweetheart.

My former fiance' whom I'm sad to say has passed away proposed to me on the beach.

We were celebrating our 4th anniversary of the day we met. Little did I know that he actually remembered.

We had met on the beach.

He knew my daughter loves to collect sea shells.

A friend of his was the manager of the hotel which we were staying helped him with his plan.

After a romantic dinner on the beach, we took a walk along the beach where his friend had planted quite a few sea shells.

As we were walking along, I naturally started picking up the sea shells to take home to my daughter to add to her collection.

For a while, I was thinking this is the first time I ever came across so many shells. But, dismissed the thought because the night was so beautiful.

One of the shells really caught my eye.

He told me to open the shell.

Inside the shell was a ring and with a note saying "Marry Me."

Being the gentlemen he was, he went down on bended knee and proposed.

I think I cried for hours from the shock and the excitement.

I knew he was a romantic but this exceeded everything he had ever done.
