Romantic First Day at the Beach

So, have you always dreamed of a
romantic first date at the beach?
Well have I got the date for you!
First, you need to find a beach location which is within an easy days drive for you, for me it means Ocean Shores.
I had intended to go to the beach, have a nice lunch, then watch the sunset, drive home and have a late dinner on the way home and then?
Well, I just planned to see how the day went.
A bit of advise if you are planning to go to a beach town, check and see if there are any large events in town - I didn't check and it was
Biker's weekend!
Now, I enjoy Harley's and all, but 2,000 Harley's in a small town with bikers all clad in their leathers was not the quiet romantic date I had envisioned in my mind!
The road into town was blocked when we arrived, as the parade was just starting and we had to wait to get into town.
Conversation was impossible with all of the bikes revving their engines as loud as possible for the parade, and not all of the bikers looked real friendly!
Once we finally got into town, the traffic was a mess, it took us 20 minutes to get to the beach.
We were finally able to walk on the beach, which was finally a quiet place so we could talk and get to know each other better.
When we finally decided to get something to eat, we decided on
Alec's restaurant, which the locals told us was a great place to eat lunch.
Surprisingly, it was not very crowded and we got a table right away. Lunch was wonderful, and the company was great.
After lunch we both agreed that it would be nice to leave early, as neither one of us is really into bikes.
Leaving town was uneventful, and we actually ended up taking a nice drive home up the coast through some of the little towns on a coastal highway.
The day ended with, well, I won't share the details, but I will say that we intend to have another date to Ocean Shores, just not on Harley weekend this time!
