My Romantic Birthday Flowers Surprse...

When I was a freshman in high school I had a major crush on a very cute boy.

The boy seemed to like me as well.

My birthday was coming up and I was excited.

It was my first birthday in high school and--in my mind--a momentous occasion.

The day of I got to school to have a friend run excitedly to me. She seemed really excited and told me that the boy I LIKE had gotten me a rose.

The rose was obviously supposed to be a surprise and I was crushed.

(Stupid friend...)

Luckily though it turned out okay because when I recieved the unsurprising flower the boy also asked me out.

At least I got one of my romantic surprises for my birthday.

Since that day roses always make me think of that boy and my silly friend who can't keep a secret.
