Proposal in France

My wife and I met in college during which we both studied abroad together in Nice, France.
Since that time we have both longed to return to France.
Finally, both of our schedules worked so that we could take a 1 week vacation to Nice.
At this time we had already talked about getting married but in order to keep my proposal idea a secret I made it seem like I wanted to make a certain amount of money before we got engaged.
This white lie worked out very well because my fiancé had no idea about my plans to propose in France.
Before our trip I picked out the ring and hid it in a safe place.
As we got ready for our trip to France I packed the ring in a prescription bottle that I took as a carry on so there was no chance the ring would get lost.
For the first three days of the vacation I played it cool and just had a good time.
Finally on the night of the fourth day I went for a walk with my fiancé on the beach and proposed to her there.
Needless to say she said yes, was very surprised and thought it was romantic and special that I proposed to her in a place that was significant to the both of us.
