NOLA is for Lovers

New Orleans really is incredibly romantic.

My friend came down to elope with her finance and loved it.

They got married in my parent's backyard under a gorgeous magnolia tree.

The pictures of the wedding were amazing and the venue was free.

They just set up a couple of chairs and let the guests sit where they wanted.

Although if you're planning an outdoor ceremony in New Orleans I would recommend keeping the ceremony short, it's very hot and humid here.

For the honeymoon they stayed at an inn in the French Quarter, on the second floor where they had a balcony and French-style shutters that my friend ended up incorporating into their new home in South Carolina.

They were able to do all the tourist things like the zoo, aquarium, French market and riverwalk while also being able to eat and drink and party to their heart's content.

She also spent a sizable amount furnishing their new place with finds in the antique stores around the city.

They had a great, wild time and they're coming back down to celebrate their two year anniversary.
