My Sister's Wedding Proposal

My sister just had her wedding this past month and I still vividly remember how her husband asked her to marry him.

They were high school sweethearts, so he used that to his advantage.

He had her friends take her out to dinner to distract her from knowing what might come later.

She had been getting increasingly aware he'd probably ask her soon.

After dinner, one of her friends mentioned that they should drive by their 'high school hangouts' for old time's sake. So the 6 or so girls began driving around town.

When they got to the church above our high school, the parking lot was empty other than (what she would find out soon) was her then-boyfriend waiting for her.

My sister walked over to him and a friend taped the whole thing unbeknownst to my sister.

He talked to her about how much she meant to her, etc. then he turned her towards the high school and the football field lit up with christmas lights in the words, "Marry me?"

Pretty cool I thought.
