Our Renaissance Wedding

My husband (then fiance) went to alot of trouble to plan the perfect proposal.

At the time, we both worked nights bartending at different bars.

He was working on my night off and planned for me to come to his bar and hang out, which I normally did.

That night though, I was tired and wanted to stay home.

I had gone shopping with my momma and sister earlier in the day and just wanted to stay at home.

He called several times and begged me to come up and each time, I said "no, I'm tired."

He had a whole little thing planned out with some of his regular customers that I never got to see.

When he came home, he kept saying things, trying to get me to say just the right thing, but I never did.

He finally said, "You're not going to make this easy are you?" and got one one knee and proposed!

I was speechless.

we are happily married EVEN THOUGH I ruined his perfectly planned proposal!
