Mission: Marriage

Having grown up in Texas, I could imagine nothing more romantic than proposing in downtown San Antonio.

Although the city's River walk is one of the most romantic destinations in the state, I assumed it would be a dead giveaway.

Instead, we drove along the historic Mission Trail to take in some sight-seeing.

Most people may not realize it, but many of the other San Antonio missions are much larger and more impressive than the Alamo.

I waited until we saw just the right one and suggested that we go exploring. Then...

I waited until we got to just the right spot for me to pop the question.

Another plus is that, because these ruins have stood for this many years, you can expect them to remain for many more.

That way you can visit the same place, well preserved, many years later.
