Memorable First Date

I had a funny, memorable first date.

Since it was the first one, I don't know what to do.

I was nervous and jittery.

The good thing was the guy came to our house and asked permission from my uncle since I was living with them.

I guess because of that gesture, I was entrusted with my date who happened to be the guy most girls in his school wanted to partner with.

He was a gentleman.

He assisted me in riding and getting out of the car, offered the seat, etc.

I was so nervous that I forgot to bring a handkerchief to cover my nose when I sneezed.

...But it was not really that embarrassing because he offered me his.

What was really memorable was when he told me "I love you."

I was shocked because it was our first date and yet he told me that.

Young and naive I am, I just answered him "thank you."

Then he asked for a kiss on my cheek but I did not allow him.

What I offered was a hand shake.

But it was not what he was expecting.

After that, he never asked me for a date anymore.
