Make It Personal

The trouble with most proposals are that they're not very personal.
Yes...Wine and roses and candlelight are romantic. But they're romantic in a generic way. So I say, propose in a way that shows you know and value HER, the one and only woman for you!
If she loves going to art galleries, conspire with a gallery owner to let you hang up a framed proposal among the artworks right before you visit with her.
If she loves romantic movies, get a friend to film you acting out a proposal scene from one of her favorites...then sneak it into the VCR/DVD player on your next movie night.
If she's a bookworm, make a proposal bookmark and substitute it for the one she's using in her latest read.
If she's a jogger, ask the homeowners along her usual route if you can put a series of
"Burma Shave" style signs in their yards to make your proposal.
If she's crazy about her pet, attach a proposal note to Fluffy or Rover's collar.
If she loves to cross-stitch, give her the gift of a new cross-stitch pattern: your proposal. (There's software that can turn a scanned photo into a pattern, so you don't need to be crafty yourself to create this.)
You get the idea--make it a proposal that shows you not only love her, you KNOW her!
