Loving You Is Easy

This was written about a time when my boyfriend (now husband) and I had broken up and been physically separated for a long time.
We decided to try again, and I flew to his country to visit him to see if this would indeed work out.
“I remember the first time I saw you in the airport.
It had been a long flight, getting through customs was stressful, and the airport lobby was crowded and I couldn’t find you.
Then I turned around and there you were, right beside me.
Seeing your face was like coming home.
All the people and the noise of the airport just faded away and it was only you.
I had planned on giving you your space at first, but you’d just appeared at my side and taken me off guard and before I could even think, I just threw my arms around you.
I will never forget the happiness I felt at seeing your face then.
Loving you has always been that easy.
It’s been instinct.
You’ve got a tough exterior, but once a person gets past that and gets to know you it’s impossible not to love you.
Thank you for the wonderful person that you are.”
