Lovers Surprise Stroll

True story...
Upon deciding that I wanted to ask the wonderful lady who I had been dating for over 3 years to be my wife, I knew I had to pull out all stops while proposing, because...
During our courtship I would often go the extra mile to keep out relationship fresh and exciting, so I put my plan into action.
It was a Sunday afternoon and as most Sunday afternoons in New Orleans in the early spring seem to be it was a gorgeous day and my plans included a leisurely stroll through the city park with my favorite girl.
So,we're strolling through the park as we usually do, talking about any and every thing when I notice a picnic set-up but no occupants.
I turned to Amber (thats my wifes name)and pointed toward the vacant picnic set-up as we wondered where the occupants were.
I gestured to her as I slowly started to walk towards the set up.
She tried to hold me back, but finally relented when I called her scary(get her everytime).
So we walk over and she starts all "baby this is so beautiful, I wonder where the people are".
I told her they were probable on the paddle boats.
Then I proceeded to get one of the grapes of the platter, and she almost had a fit, "leave those people food alone".
"come on let's go" where the next words to come from her mouth, but before she could finish the sentence I had put a juicy purple grape in her mouth.
Mmmmmmmmmmmm! was the next word out her chewing mouth before she swallowed, and again insisted we leave before the people get back.
I interupted her by saying "look! they have a radio and everything and proceeded to press the play button - the Isley Brothers never sounded better singing summer breeze...."ooohhh baby thats our song" was all she coul say while swaying in the summer breeze, then, "come on baby, lets go".
Before we walked off I noticed a card and picked it up as Amber protested.
I handed it to her and proceeded to get me some more grapes.
I ask her to read it and see what the card said.
She responded "I'm not reading these people card" all the time opening the card like I knew she would be - the curious person that she is.
Next, all could see is her gasping for air as she realized the card was from me asking her to share the rest of her Sundays for the rest of her life with me.
I than proceeded to get on one knee and propose to her she of course said no.....naw I'm kidding she cried her way into saying yes, and so 13 years later we are still taking walks every Sunday... rain, sleet or snow.
P.S. I PAID MY NEIGHBORS KID 20 BUCKS TO WATCH THE PICNIC THAT I GOT UP EARLY TO GO SET UP,AND WHEN HE SAW ME PULL UP HE WAS TO QUITLY SLIP OFF QUITELY,I SAW HIM PASS BY ON THE PADDLE BOATS.
