"Kidnap" Her

by Darlene
(Ottawa, KS USA)

Arrange to pick her up on her lunch hour from work so that her supervisor knows she will not be back.

Have a bag packed and go to a romantic motel or hideaway.

There are theme motels where you can choose to be in Cleopatra's bed chamber, a safari, or any number of places.

There are also places with small cottages around a lake that have fireplaces, private jacuzzi tubs (indoors or out), etc.

In a town within an hour from us there is a mansion that is a bed and breakfast and one of the rooms has a private rooftop jacuzzi under the stars.

You could have rose petals strewn from the door to the bed or jacuzzi, a bottle of wine or champagne, a filled picnic basket, soft music and candelight.

Use your imagination!

An engagement ring could be presented in any number of ways. Tied to the end of a helium balloon, in a cupcake, packed in her undies, or in a traditional ring box.

Can you write an original poem for her? If not choose one from Browning or Dickinson that you like and read it to her.

Plan things she likes--like a stroll around a lake, touring a flower garden, eating seafood, riding go karts, miniature golf, or whatever SHE likes.

Make it a memory of a lifetime!

Hi Cindy,

I'm very happy you're enjoying the articles and comments from our worldwide readers.

I wholeheartedly agree with you.

A bit of creativity and a little planning ahead can sure make the difference between a flat proposal that leaves her scratching her head, and a brilliant innovative one that leaves her breathless!

Thanks for coming and do drop by again!

Memorable is the Key
by: Cindy

I like the many romantic suggestions and I think that the KEY is to make the moment memorable...one that she would cherish her entire life.

Just a little thinking ahead will surely make her day.
