Kane O Kupono is the B&B I visit when I need to get away from it all.
It's on the east side of Hawaii Island, just outside the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
It's a three-acre slice of Hawaiian forest paradise with walking paths set back through the trees...It has a comfy large house with a fireplace and library, and fresh ranch eggs as part of your complimentary breakfast!
(Kane O Kupono has a small egg farm.) Your hosts, James and Steve, are a long-time gay couple who are hospitality experts.
You will feel right at home, and most likely you will have the place to yourself, at affordable rates.
The building and grounds are also a clothing-optional site, and they really do mean OPTIONAL.
So...
If you prefer to stay clothed, that will set the tone for your stay.
It's just a beautiful woodland setting with a cozy and happy vibe. The perfect escape for those looking to chill -- oh, and there's a full-size hot tub, and massage is available.
I love this place, and have recommended it to friends and couples regardless of orientation.
They host singles, couples, and families, and it would make a lovely place for a small wedding reception, up to thirty people.
