Ideal

Now, I'm speaking from the viewpoint of a woman here, but I also know that I'm a strange woman with even stranger ideas.
When I read or hear about some of the more "normal" ways a romantic proposal is put forth, I almost cringe at the overly sweet and sappy flavor that they leave in my mouth.
Sometimes the easiest way to kill that special mood that you work so very hard to set up is to do just that: work too hard.
So, for the sake of anyone like me who thinks that proposals today can just be too sappy and/or ridiculous, I'll give a few examples of the type that I can stomach.
I know that the best - and only - proposal that I got was one where my fiance basically popped the question after what was a fairly average evening.
We were just relaxing in bed when a conversation about such a thing came up.
It was there, with no planning, no ridiculous overtures over dinner, and definitely no obnoxious violin music playing, that he proposed to me.
It was just us, naked in bed after spending a nice evening together.
Another proposal that I would have been fine with was if my fiance would have been inclined to pop the question while watching television or something.
As I said before, though, I'm just a strange girl with strange ideas.
I prefer to be private where others don't.
That's just my two cents.
