I Eloped to Vegas

Okay, so eloping to Vegas may sound cheesy to some, but those I've consulted in my own life about it for my own wedding have said that it was actually kind of a cool idea.
We chose a unique and lovey date: 02/29/08.
There was literally no romantic proposal when it came to deciding to get married.
The business of talking about it did fall around the Valentine's Day time frame, like I had always hoped for, though.
I knew my family wasn't going to be supportive and I didn't really know his, so we decided to elope.
We chose Vegas because my husband and I aren't religious - we didn't want nuptials inside a church.
We got married inside a diner, actually, and by Elvis, because that's something I always wanted to do.
Vegas has many "theme" wedding offerings, which makes it such a great place to get married.
It was romantic flying out to Nevada, applying for the license, and getting married all in the same day.
It was also nice just having it be us - and Elvis, of course.
I was provided with beautiful, fresh roses, and we got pictures and poses with Elvis.
When we were done saying "Uh-huh!" (instead of "I do"!), a big screen outside the place read:
Amanda & Aaron: Just Married!!! That was one of the most romantic parts.
A limousine transported us back to our hotel.
Best of all, it didn't cost anywhere close to $26,000.
How romantic is that?!
