For Whom the Bells Toll

A good friend had a really romantic proposal. After an nice dinner, her guy took her on a walk around campus. It was foggy and mysterious looking and really pretty and peaceful.
He made sure they ended up near the bell tower where they sat on a bench and waited for the bells to play a tune on the hour.
Unknown to her, he had arranged with the bellmaster to have something special played that hour instead of the usual short classical or traditional selections. It started with the Wedding March and then "I Love You Truly" and then played her favorite "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring." When she looked down he was kneeling and had an open ring box with her engagement ring!
She said yes and they have been married more than 25 years now. It helps to know a bellmaster, but it is really romantic and memorable to have the bells announce your proposal.
