Flowers...as long as its done right~!

Flowers are definitely a way for a guy to tell a girl that he's thinking of her.

However sometimes flowers can also feel a little thoughtless and cliche unless you choose the right kind.

Roses are the most popular type of flower.

Now don't get me wrong I love Roses but unless it's for something special, in my case a present after a dance performance, they can seem a little too cliche...

Especially for Valentines Day.

Now Rose Petals on the other hand are always romantic.

Whether my boyfriend spreads them over the bed, leaving a trail to a present or dropping them in a bubble bath...

Rose Petals always make my heart melt and let me know that he took the time to plan something romantic.

My personal favorite flower is The Lily.

My favorite experience with receiving flowers is for me and my boyfriends anniversary.

He got me a beautiful Bouquet of Lilies.

To me that was the best present that involved flowers, because I never really harped on the fact that I LIKED Lilies the best.

I said it in passing once and never brought it up again.

Him getting me Lilies not only showed that he listened, but...

Also showed how much he cared about me to go off the cuff and get something different than the normal rose.

Flowers are a wonderful gift as long as the guy can put thought behind it, and not think that girls automatically melt at the sight of them.
