Flowers of the Heart

Each time I receive flowers I'm filled with the feeling that I'm special.
I'm as touched by the handful of Dandelions as I am by
the dozen Roses or the spring bouquet.
Each comes from the heart of someone who thought that I was special enough to give a little piece of themselves to me.
Their fragrance fills my home and their beauty draws my eyes to them, reminding me of the person who gave them to me.
As the days pass, I refresh the water and prune the
flowers, trying to extend their beauty, for just a while longer.
They're especially beautiful in the winter, when
the gray skies and bare trees turn everything into black and white.
That special
splash of color and wonderful fragrance reminds me that spring is just around the corner. (even when it's not)...
It amazes me that with all of our inventiveness we are so unable to produce a spray that mimics the fragrance of
a bouquet of flowers, and...
The greatest artists are unable to perfect their colors.
Isn't it interesting that the first thing that a baby wants to do, when seeing
a flower, is to pick it, and...
The second thing is to give it to someone that he loves ... That small piece of his heart.
