Flowers; Not Just for Special Days

Many times guys give flowers to their special loved one only on certain occasions and special holidays.

I have always felt that it was silly...

You are basically giving your loved one a gift that is certainly going to die.

But...

If you are lucky, she will dry press them and save them for many many years to come.

More often than not these flowers are disposed of once their life has ended.

Now...

It must be recognized that WOMEN LIKE FLOWERS.

I have found the perfect solution in our relationship to the love / hate relationship with flowers.

I do not purchase flowers for my wife on any holiday.

EVER!

This is the time of year when flowers are the most expensive, and again they are going to die.

Instead what I do is to purchase flowers from the local grocery store, such as Kroger’s, and simply bring them home.

I do this about 3 or 4 times a year, outside holidays.

She is always surprised when I bring them home and we get to enjoy them for several days before the inevitable happens, and...

They are tossed into the compost pile.

This way...

She still gets the flowers she loves

At a time she is not expecting them

Saves us the expense of holiday flowers, and

There is need to save them to remember the special day.

TRY IT!

Buy flowers for your wife tonight on the way home from work for no reason at all.

Explain to her that you just wanted to get them for her and they don’t have to be reserved for the holidays.

When she asks how much they costs tell her the truth - $10 at the grocery store.

That’s when it will become the thought that counts.
