"Flowers from Me Because I was Born In Your Heart"

Every time we go to Walmart to shop and pass the flower bouquets, a little voice speaks up saying:

"Mommy, do you remember,
I gave you flowers when you picked me up in Florida?"

With a heart that's full of love and awe that we were chosen over 200+ homestudies to adopt a beautiful little girl.

I remember those flowers, and the tiny will hand that brought them to me.

My husband and I raised a son, who is currently in the Army and will soon be deployed to Iraq.

we walked through the death of our first biological daughter at the age of 5 1/2.

We had always known that we wanted more children when the time was right.

After 10 years of healing, we were blessed with Nicole...

A beautiful 3 year old.

We picked her up on exactly 10 years to the day our first daughter passed away.

Nicole was so tiny for a 3 year old, wearing only 18 month clothes.

She had been given a photo of us the week before we came to Florida.

when she saw us pull into the parking lot, she stood at the glass doors and just started jumping up and down when she saw us coming.

Nicole handed me a bouquet of flowers, grabbed my and my husbands hand, and said: "Okay, mommy and daddy, lets go home."

It has been 2 years, and we have been blessed with a second adoptive child ...a baby boy who just turned 3 1/2 months old.

we met him in the newborn nursery.

And...

The next evening, my husband brought me home a bouquet of flowers to honor the tradition that Nicole had begun.

Our children may not have been born from my body, but they were conceived and born in our hearts forever.

Are there more children in our future?

We don't know, but no matter what we will love each child meant to be with us.
