Flowers... Bit by Bit!

One of my favorite methods of giving
Romantic Flowers involves giving a bit at a time.
I got this idea when I learned that my girlfriend at the time owned several flower vases.
I thought, I can put these to use in an interesting way.
So one day, I decided to create
a special occasion to celebrate our relationship.
I went out and bought a lively, colorful bouquet.
Back at home, I separated the flowers into four vases, and hid three of the vases in the guest room (where the door is closed almost all of the time).
When my girlfriend got home, I didn't answer right away when she came in the door,
but...I walked slowly towards her and held out the first vase of flowers.
She was quite shocked by this!
So much so that I wondered if I would need the other three vases.
But later, I got up from dinner and returned to the table with the second vase.
She really blushed when I did this!
And she actually said,
"Where am I going to put all of these flowers?" But the surprise was only half over.
I presented the third vase during dessert, and she remarked on the number of flowers I had purchased.
After dishes were done, I had her follow me into the guest room where she found the fourth vase.
Okay...So if I were to do it again, I would have only used three vases.
I just decided to use the four matching vases that she owned.
Anyway, it was certainly a unique day for the two of us.
In my mind,
flowers need to be a gift straight from the heart. Flowers should NOT be given to cover up a mistake, or to accompany an apology.
I prefer giving flowers just to say
"I appreciate who you are, and that you choose to spend time with me." Maybe that's just me.
