Flowers are not so bad after all!

Whenever my husband brings flowers home for me it makes my heart melt!

I’ve always been the kind of girl who says she does not like flowers.

When we first began dating, I told my husband that I thought flowers were a waste of money because they just shrivel up and die.

I also mentioned that I did not think flowers were “pretty”.

I had never gotten flowers before so of course I was just assuming I would not enjoy them.

Or...

Perhaps I was just being a big grump and feeling sorry for myself because no one had ever cared enough to buy me flowers before.

The first bouquet my husband brought home for me was a gorgeous arrangement of lilies and brightly colored daisies.

I was in love!

How could I not have wanted flowers all these years?

They were SO beautiful to look at and SO aromatic.

It is so thoughtful that my husband would want to brighten my day with flowers, and...

Stopped on his way home from work just to pick them out for me is the best part about receiving flowers.

I must mention that I’m still not a fan of roses.

In my opinion, they are just too generic.

I have changed my mind over the last few years, and...

Decided that I really do like getting flowers so long as they are picked out with me in mind.

And...

Given as an “I love you” as opposed to an “oops, sorry about that”.
