Elvis Interruptus Proposal

It was time for my guy’s annual office Christmas party.

The company booked a huge table at a nearby dinner theater type banquet hall.

The feature performers were impersonators of Tony Bennett, Barbra Streisand and Elvis Presley.

As the Elvis clone was finishing his set, he launched in to “Love Me Tender, Love Me True”.

He came down off the stage, into the audience, walked up to my guy, stopped singing as the music continued, and said “I hear you sing some, too. You want to take this from here?”

He handed the microphone over.

My fellow took the microphone, but he didn’t sing. Instead he stood up and introduced me to the entire crowd.

Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

Happily, I said YES and he put the ring on my finger.

The whole theater full of people cheered and clapped.

Elvis took back the microphone and finished his song.
