Elope to Ohrid Lake

Ohrid Lake is situated on Macedonian-Albanian border and it’s one of the oldest lakes in the world, and oldest in Europe.

This piece of the world is not very popular, but it is very beautiful and incredible place to elope from daily problems.

The lake is surrounded by mountains from both sides, and from south the Albanian mountains overhang the monument of the nature.

Interesting place for visiting is the spring Biljanini Izvori, very popular in Macedonian traditional songs.

The biggest spring is situated in the city of Struga, also located on the Ohrid Lake, Crn Drim (Black Drim) marching to the north, to the Adriatic Sea.

On the top of the city of Ohrid stands the Samuil fortress, the fortress where the Medieval Macedonian king ruled with the Balkan Peninsula.
