Casual is Key for First Dates

I find casual First Dates to be the best.
If you go all formal you're just going to be intimidated by the settings and everything will be stiff and awkward.
And movies should never be a first date scenario!
It's not like you can talk and get to know each other while watching a film.
Instead...
Why not go do something unexpected...some fun activity that would bring out a different side to both of you than you'd usually get to see.
You could f.x. go for a game of paintball and then relax over a light dinner afterwards.
Or...
Go for a light walk through famous areas in your town and then grab a coffee or drinks later.
The best dates of my life have been based on a similar recipe...
Once I went ice-skating with a date and and then we had hot chocolate and cake later.
...The physical, and slightly childlike, activity got us much more comfortable with each other than I would have thought possible.
By the time we sat down for refreshments we had gotten a good measure of each other and we both like what we saw, since we dated for a while after that.
So I say go for something casual and fun and you might just be surprised by the results.
