An Unexpected First Date Twist

When my husband and I first met, we went on a very romantic first date.

We started off with a nature walk watching the sun set over the mountains near where we lived.

Then, afterward, we moved on to a cozy little family-owned Italian restaurant for dinner.

It was a perfect setting:

we were the only ones in the back room where we were seated ...we were enjoying a bottle of good wine and sharing bites of each other's appetizers, getting to know each other.

In the midst of that great atmosphere, a girl walked in and tapped my date on the shoulder.

It was his ex-girlfriend, whom he had just dumped a couple of weeks prior to our date!

She kept trying to talk to him and flirt, ignoring me.

But my then-boyfriend turned it around by making it a point to introduce me, and then he landed a long, slow, passionate kiss on my lips while she stood there fuming.

She stalked off to where her date was waiting and left the restaurant before we broke the kiss!

We are now married with a family, and my husband continues to make me feel like the most important thing in his life (next to our children, of course!), just as he did that night we had our very first date!
