I knew a man who proposed to his wife by leading her into the basement where, hung up in about 6 inch intervals, were paper hearts on strings all over the ceiling.
Starting with the first, the hearts led her in directions all over the room, finally having her turn around to face him where he was kneeling with ring in hand, and asking her to marry him.
She thought it was the most romantic and cute idea ever.
