A Night of Romance

To propose to my wife I called a local high class restaurant before hand and set everything up.

I told them I was proposing and we worked out a special plan.

The night of the proposal I took my then girlfriend out to the restaurant supposedly to celebrate my recent raise.

We ordered our food, ate, and were enjoying a glass of wine when the waiter surprised us with a complementary (pre-ordered)desert, (It was a sweet cream gelato with carmalized sugar and raspberry sauce.)

My girlfriend was surprised, but not nearly as surprised as she was at the engagement ring hanging on the heart-shaped cookie the restaurant had placed on the side of the dish.

She was so surprised...

She loved it.
