A Lady's Proposal Idea
Who said the man has to propose?
I actually proposed to my now husband. We had been dating for almost 4 years and had talked of spending the rest of our lives together.
I decided to take the initiative.
One afternoon while he was working I spent a few hours staging our apartment.
I prepared some directives on scrap booking paper.
The first one was left on the front door in an envelope with a "kiss" print on it. Inside it read "please come inside and put your things down...find the next instruction in the refrigerator".
In the refrigerator I had left a basket with grapes, strawberries and sparkling water. In the basket was the second note. It told him to take the basket and set it on the bedside table.
Our bedroom was lit with candles and there was soft music playing.
On the table was the third note.
The third note told him there was a warm bath drawn for him and that he should proceed to the bathroom.
When he opened the door and stepped inside the bathroom there in the mirror was written...
"I have waited all my life to find my soul mate...
Will you marry me?"
I had candles lit all over the counters and window sills in the room.
Around the mirror I had a string of white lights and the overhead light was out.
There was one last envelope taped to the bottom of the mirror. In that envelope it said....I'm waiting behind the curtain for your answer.
His answer was Yes!
