A Fantasy Proposal

The fantasy proposal would go something like this.

He would pick me up on his Harley and take me to the beach for a quiet walk along the water line.

We would walk and talk a while listening to the waves. Hugging and snuggling as we went.

Then after a refreshing walk return to the bike and take off to clean up for a dinner on the town.
I would answer the door to a very handsome and cleaned up boyfriend with a large smirk on his face.

Hiding his hand behind his back only to hand me a large bouquet of my favorite flowers.

This is going to be a great evening...

We leave and go to a casual, but excellent restaurant for our dinner.

We order and all the while my boyfriend sits just smirking and chatting.

He talks about growing up, going to school, his family.

The conversation turns to me and he asks the most peculiar questions. I am impressed that he has paid such close attention to all these silly little details all these years.

As the night wears on we proceed to a local bar to have drinks with our friends. Where our friends are also wearing the same funny smirk on their faces.

My boyfriend orders champagne for our table.

I am once again impressed by this.

They bring the champagne glasses and each one has a ribbon tied around it with a note. I take my glass and wonder what and why there is a small note attached to my glass.

I look up to see that my boyfriend has disappeared.

Our friends are watching me over their glasses and chatting back and forth.

I pull the ribbon loose and read the note.........I blink and re-read it.

I turn around and my boyfriend is down on his knee with a questioning look on his face.

It finally all makes sense to me.

The silly details he remembered, the talk about our families, the smirks and the tiny notes.

I take the offered black velvet box with tears in my eyes and a whispered yes!
