A Birthday Twist

As a mother, I have received flowers for a lot of different events...

From a single rose to a large bouquet, they have always made me smile. But...

When remembering these wonderful gifts, one always sticks in my mind.

It was my son's 3rd birthday and I was busy getting ready for a large family party at our home.

We had spent a lot of time finding just the right presents and decorations to make the party just right.

About an hour before the party started, there was a knock at the door.

I was a little upset thinking that a guest was arriving so early.

When I opened the door, a delivery man stood holding a Bouquet of Fall Flowers.

I brought them in the house thinking they for the party.

That was until I saw the card.

My husband had taken my son to the local florist the day before and had picked out flowers that were related to fall, the month my son was born, and my son's favorite color (yellow).

The flowers were for me.

My husband wanted to thank me for giving him the greatest gift he had ever received - his son - and...

What better day than on my son's birthday.

The card said, "For ALL YOU DO."
