2nd Wedding Anniversary Roses

Last year on my husband and mine's 2nd wedding anniversary, we decided to stay here at the house.

We did so because my son was really sick and I didn't want to be too far away from where my mom was since she was keeping him.

We created this very romantic evening.

My husband earlier that day had brought me a dozen roses of my yellow rose with the red tips...the same ones that we had at the wedding.

It was such a thoughtful jester.

These are also the same roses that he sent me the entire time he was in Iraq.

That evening I decided to do something special for him,

So...

I decided to put our wedding cake topper on a serving platter and then place chocolate covered strawberries around it.

I also placed candles all around the edge of our round dining table and lite them.

I put our rose petals that we used as decor for our wedding on the ground leading to the dining room and all over our bedroom.

I also lite candles on our window sill and throughout the bedroom.

I then put our flutes from the wedding in the center of the table with the same champange that we had at the wedding.

All in all it was a very romantic "getaway" even if we couldn't exactly go anywhere.
