Back in the days gone yore I had met a pretty young lady (girl) on a camping trip. We became good friends and even casually corresponded for a while.
But one day I goofed up our friendship. You see, this girl was pretty to begin with, but she was also an expert at facial make-up.
The way she applied the eye shadow, the soft brushes of powder or blushes (I could never tell which was what), the different colors of lipstick...I mean every thing she did makeup wise ...truly complimented her good looks.
...Her style of braids and ribbons...man, she was more than a 'WOW' I guess!
On one particular occasion I wrote her a letter, and in my effort to compliment her, I said that her beauty and her way of applying her makeup, was like that of an inspiring painting.
After that letter, she never wrote me back. Then I got to thinking. Did she think that I was comparing her to a painting? Was it the way I said it that offended her? Was she thinking that I was thinking that she was a fake?
Hhmmm. I guess I'll never know...
Amy, if you read this, then I do humbly apologize. Honestly, I never meant to hurt your feelings. I guess I meant well, but goofed badly.
Really, I love paintings...some have inspired me for years...and that was what I really meant to convey.
Ok, guys. If you goofed big time...apologize and straighten things out. Hopefully Amy will read this and renew our friendship.
Shoots...I have to hide this blog from my wife. Anyone knows of a good password?
Take care guys and if you go Trick and Treating...do be careful.
